KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The number of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) will be further reduced. The government through the Ministry of SOEs will cut the number of SOE companies to under 40 companies. Deputy Minister of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said, the reduction of the number of SOEs is included in the transformation process of SOEs carried out by the Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir and other SOE ranks from 2019. The reduction in the number of SOEs is indicated by the presence of holding, merger, clustering, streamlining, and among them the handling of problematic SOEs.
