In Asia, the majority of currencies weakened against the US dollar this afternoon. The Rupiah recorded the deepest depreciation of 0.13%, followed by the Singapore dollar which weakened by 0.12%, the Chinese yuan depreciated by 0.08%, the Japanese yen weakened by 0.07%, the Korean won depreciated by 0.06%, and the Taiwan dollar weakened by 0.06%. The Thai baht depreciated by 0.05%, the Philippine peso weakened by 0.02%, the Hong Kong dollar depreciated by 0.01% and the Indian rupee weakened by 0.005% against the US dollar.
