The Spot Rupiah Closed Up 0.17% at Rp 15,893 per US Dollar on Thursday (4/4)



KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The Indonesian Rupiah closed at a level of Rp 15,893 per US dollar at the end of trading on Thursday (4/4), strengthening by 0.17% from the previous day's level of Rp 15,920 per US dollar.

In Asia, the majority of currencies strengthened against the US dollar. The Malaysian Ringgit recorded the largest increase of 0.38%, followed by the Rupiah which strengthened by 0.17%, the Korean Won strengthened by 0.15%, the Philippine Peso rose by 0.11%, the Singapore Dollar rose by 0.06%.

Then, the Taiwan Dollar rose by 0.06%, and the Hong Kong Dollar rose by 0.006% against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, other Asian currencies weakened against the US dollar this afternoon. The Thai Baht weakened by 0.18%, the Japanese Yen weakened by 0.02%, and the Indian Rupee weakened by 0.01% against the US dollar.

In the meantime, the dollar index, which reflects the exchange rate of the US dollar against the world's major currencies, stood at 104.13, down from the previous day's level of 104.24.
