KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The dividend distribution season is coming soon. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (
BBRI) also plans to distribute cash dividends from the 2023 fiscal year profit. Sunarso, the President Director of Bank Rakyat Indonesia, stated that BRI has more than enough capital, so it is not a problem if BBRI's profit is distributed as dividends. "I want at least 70% to 80% of the net profit to be distributed as dividends," he said when met at the Jakarta International Velodrome, Monday (12/2).
Citing the 2023 financial report, BBRI recorded a consolidated net profit of IDR 60.4 trillion. This is higher than the previous year's IDR 51.4 trillion. "The money flows to the shareholders, the majority of which are held by the government. So the money will return to the country," said Sunarso.
