JAKARTA. Tourism industries are actively conducting promotions ahead of holiday season at the end of the year. In order to attract more travellers, Garuda Indonesia holds the second Garuda Indonesia Travel exhibition on 7 October-9 October 2016 in 18 cities, including Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Lampung, Palembang, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Lombok, Kupang, Balikpapan, Makassar, Manado, Ambon, Timika, and Jayapura. President Director of Garuda Indonesia M. Arif Wibowo said that Garuda targets to attract 80,000 visitors and to have a worth of IDR225 billion of transactions through the exhibitions. “This (the exhibition) is our strategy in maximizing profits during the peak season”, Arif said.
