KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) and PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) have issued an official statement regarding recent news. Toyota Indonesia has temporarily suspended the delivery of several Toyota models in Indonesia, particularly for products developed in collaboration with Daihatsu. This suspension is a follow-up to the discovery of several procedures that did not meet standards by Daihatsu Motor Co. Ltd announced on April 28, 2023. An independent committee was formed to thoroughly inspect various procedures within the company, which includes a total of 64 vehicle models currently being developed as Daihatsu brands or to be marketed as Toyota brands. “We want to confirm that currently, customers using Toyota products, including those developed with Daihatsu, do not need to worry or take any action, and can continue to use their vehicles as usual. This is based on the fact that all Toyota vehicles (including those developed with Daihatsu) sold in Indonesia have met the applicable homologation rules and processes,” wrote Toyota Indonesia in its official statement, on Friday (22/12).
