Transjakarta Corridor 13 set for trials this week

JAKARTA. PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is set to test out its newly built Corridor 13 route this week, the company’s president director has said.

“We will start trials to observe every aspect of the corridor,” said Transjakarta president director Budi Kaliwono on Tuesday as quoted by beritajakarta.com.

Corridor 13 will connect Jl. Tendean with Jl. Ciledug in South Jakarta, with an estimated journey time of around 30 minutes.

The route will have 12 bus shelters.

He added that the trials would be in line with the company’s target of opening the corridor on June 22. However, the company still needs to build elevators at several shelters along the route.

“We are still looking for a good offer from two tenders. I hope we can build them on time,” Budi said.
