SANUR. Those who happen to be in Bali should consider visiting the annual Sanur Village Festival that will run until this weekend. This year’s theme is “Tat Twam Asi”, which is Sanskrit for “I am you, you are me”, in hopes that it will teach participants empathy, solidarity and equality whether it be in a small or large scale. The festival brings back outdoor activities such as boat racing, a food bazaar, art and culture, cultural parades, water sports competitions, kite festival, fashion shows, body painting, cruising, exhibitions and photography challenges, culinary competitions, and even taking environmental action by replanting coral reefs. New activities include the Bali Triathlon, tennis and futsal tournaments, and national art exhibitions.
