JAKARTA. Precast concrete maker PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WTON) plans to build a new plant in Subang, West Java, with an investment of Rp 250 billion (US$19 million) to boost its production capacity this year. The company aims to produce about 2.5 million tons of precast concrete this year, an 8.7 percent increase from 2.3 million tons last year, its director Hari Respati said in Jakarta on Wednesday, adding that the new plant was expected to start operations in October 2016. “We choose Subang because many of our projects are conducted in Jakarta and Bandung [West Java], which is relatively close to Subang,” Hari told journalists after the company’s extraordinary general meeting.
